Sunnyvale Medical Device Company Goes Live on QAD Enterprise Applications 2008
Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA, – April 13, 2009 -- Strategic Information Group (Strategic) announces that a Sunnyvale medical device company went live on QAD's Enterprise Applications 2008. The full system implementation including validation lasted 8 weeks and was on time and on budget.
The company develops and manufactures arterial stints for the repair and prevention of abdominal aneurysms. QAD's ERP Application was selected over other competing ERP systems given QAD's strong track record and customer base of medical device and life sciences companies. QAD replaced the existing Manufact-pro system.
The client's enterprise solution consisted of the QAD life sciences bundle implemented using Strategic's consulting services. The company implemented the QAD foundation in addition to the compliance module to assist with maintaining FDA compliance. Strategic performed the client's hardware and software validation.
The project consolidates the company's business systems into a single product for financial, sales and manufacturing processes and provides product tracking and customized lot history records needed to comply with FDA requirements. Improved financial controls meet SOX requirements and advanced browses allow ease in collection and extraction of data. The new environment eliminates multiple master files for items, customers and vendors and provides a single source for data review.
