Automatic Batch Processing and Printer Output Scheduling for QAD's Enterprise Applications
The Dynamic Scheduler from Strategic provides QAD users with highly flexible, time and cost-saving features when scheduling large reports and other batch jobs such as statement runs and MRP.
The Dynamic Scheduler eliminates the need for you to manually schedule and submit jobs for each batch cycle. The Dynamic Scheduler provides extensive scheduling features.
Jobs may be set up using any of the following cycles:
- Monthly
- Weekly
- Daily
- Specific day of the week
- Specific day of the month (e.g. 25th of every month, Last Friday of the fiscal month, etc.)
For reports and batches that are date driven, the system maintains the dates relative to the timeframe in which they are running.
Jobs can be sequenced, thus avoiding the risk of tasks being before prerequisite jobs have been completed.
Additional features include:
- Rules handling holidays and shutdowns
- Ability to group jobs together
- Ability to define dependencies
- Ability to notify outcome of batch via email
